Whats the best quality(Picture and sound) DVD's and Blu rays you have seen?

Pirates of the caribbean sticks on my mind as a good one for sound quality :)

DVD I would say The Fifth Element... fantastic picture quality and a pretty good soundtrack. I have the "superbit" version of the DVD. The "superbit" DVDs have lower picture compression and also include a DTS soundtrack. The downside is that you get no "extras", although I never use the extras so not really a downside for me.

In terms of Blu-Ray, I don't have too many yet but have to agree that Dark Knight is pretty difficult to beat and also the last Star Trek movie is very good. The soundtracks for both are pretty impressive.

Star Trek bluray for me. Lush picture, stunning audio. The sound when the ships go to warp drive :o . Awesome.

Highly recommend the Oppo universal bluray player or the Pioneer BDP LX52.

Not too bad really.
Will need to sort a pre amp/cd pre before a blue ray though. I will be using the TC level pilot for the time being :)
